Let God Handle Your Schedule

The words unpredictable and extreme may seem rather light for some when it comes to describing the last eight months of 2020. The intensity of events would be best explained through living it than in any other form. At one point, I’m sure we’ve likened ourselves to the children of Israel in the desert as they journeyed to the promised land but I’m quite sure that our comparisons were based on the antagonizing moments of it all, and that doesn’t make us horrible people. We’ve had those ‘’ugh/why/this too’’ moments.
However, there’s more to that truth than what may initially meet the eye. The children of Israel were also provided with Manna, provision that was timely, local and adequate to their needs. Egypt in all its splendour had never provided them with an opportunity to partake of this belly~timber(food) and so in essence, we can safely say that it took the children of Israel to be in the desert for them to experience a different supply.
In a similar sense, the Lord saw it fit to open doors to new opportunities for me in a season that had seemed otherwise dry. Paying no attention to my fears, my lack of ‘’connections’’ and any other opinions that would have posed as a barrier, He went ahead with Jeremiah 29 vs 11 ~ I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out - plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.(MSG Translation)
Starting a blog is a seed that I believe God planted in me at the beginning of the year but in true human planning fashion, I resolved to beginning the process at the end of the year after my exams. According to my plan, I was going to do the research required and speak to a few successful bloggers if possible. Keep in mind, I had no starting point for the latter in any way but I believed that the one who made my back, had my back and was going to divinely orchestrate it all. He sure did show up and show off, earlier than I expected though.

Three months ago, through one beautiful cycle, the Lord caused a social media post to land into the eyes of a loved one, who took a screenshot and sent it to me. The poster spoke on writing lessons that were to soon start virtually. The timing didn’t seem right and quite frankly I didn’t have the resources for it and so I thought to sweep it under the rug. Despite wanting to forget all about it, the Lord wouldn’t let it go and I sent a message to the contact detail on the poster. I got a response from a lovely lady, Mrs Ezinne Edet, who is an author, creative writer, editor and nurturer. In a text, she confirmed a fear that I had subconsciously already accepted and that was my inability to participate due to reasons that were beyond my control.
Politely, I tried to end the conversation and prevent myself from getting attached to the phenomenal human being she was proving to be but she wasn’t budging. She kept inquiring details on my style of writing, passions and desires for this purpose of mine and among the many things we talked about, my wish to start a blog surfaced. Without being asked to do so nor payed, Mrs Ezinne went on to give me tips on how I could possibly do it as well as offered assistance should I need it.
I was mind blown by the manner in which the fulfillment of God’s eternal promises was manifesting itself. I did not immediately jump on the bandwagon and act on it but she kept checking up on me and encouraging me to give it my best shot. Long story cut short, I started the Work In Progress blog approximately a month ago and this angel on earth has been of aid every step of the way, allowing God to do the most through her.
Talk about a divine alignment y’all. This is one and a half for sure. Our Father didn’t need to wait for seasons to change for him to put His plans in motion. He wasn’t perturbed by the climate, that’s just how Sovereign He is. With His work active in my life, I believe that He’ll do the same for you. It might not be today, this month or this year but He will definitely finish what He started. Ask God to prepare you for that blessing and that alignment, for although we do not know the time, we are certain that it will happen. Commit your schedule to the Lord and He’ll take care of the rest.
I am not speaking as a girl with a thousand blog members or one who is lined up with everything that this stream of passion brings but rather as a young lady with complete belief that I am where God needs me to be, progressing. I’m building an attitude of gratitude as it happens. Testifying of His goodness now and will continue doing so as all that is in store comes to life which is true to the message that WIP (Work In Progress) hopes to shed light on. #countitalljoy
Pastor Steven Furtick speaks profoundly on this very truth in the sermon “Unschedulable Blessings: https://youtu.be/DmrjYZfF7q4 . A message that I believe holds transformative truth.

She is truly a force to reckon with. Humble in her all her greatness, invested in building relationships and not just transactional relations, in short, she’s the total package. She has writing classes for all ages underway and if you have a book project which you need help sailing the wind, then Mrs Ezinne is your go to lady.
