“We all have to start somewhere right,” a phrase we confidently utter but fear to live by. Intellectually we get it, but I must admit that when we open the box and see the pieces of the puzzle all coming down, anxiety grips us. Understanding concepts such as our identity, confidence and beauty can arouse terror within us as it feels beyond reach. We forget that all we need is there and so we panic and run. We run to go grab that which has already been established because it’s less overwhelming and quite frankly avoids the processes.
Sadly, that’s where the danger lies. We take on the nature of an entity whose intended purpose we know not of, yet the Maker’s intention is one we’re unaware of.
Developing strength for ourselves requires us to dig into the different facets of the concept and intentionally be involved in the processes.
How do I know where which piece goes you may ask, well take time to carefully understand the shape, colour and texture of each piece. Your heart will make it clearer for you to know where the parts go. As you become more confident in embracing the pieces you’ll even start cutting some edges or adding more mass, as per your preference of course.
The point is, you don’t have to embody someone else’s understanding of a concept in a bid to avoid going through the sections. Individuality is no product delivered perfect but that's the best part, you get to wholly own it. Whispers of worry may cumber your soul but that doesn’t have to crush you. You have a starting point and that starting point is actually welcoming the pieces and being okay with them being all over the ground.
They’ll make more sense as production goes so don’t rush it.
